Coaching philosophy
You hold
the reins.
Honest questions. Practical action.
Sam won’t tell you who to become or pretend to have all the answers. Together you work toward answers you can own.
The approach
You hold the reins.
You bring your experiences, gifts, and goals. I bring honest questions and the challenge to follow through. I won’t tell you who to become or pretend to have all the answers. We work toward answers you can own.
You already have
something to build on.
I think of coaching as a journey. My role is to help you see where you are, decide where you want to go, and take responsibility for the next step.
01 / Clarity
Look beyond the job.
Understand your gifts, what matters to you, and the reasons behind your decisions.
02 / Habits
Make growth a practice.
Build everyday habits that support the person you want to become.
03 / Discipline
Keep going with intention.
Learn to follow through when motivation comes and goes.
04 / Ownership
Make the next step yours.
Accountability starts with your own choices. Take ownership, then agree on support that helps you follow through.
What coaching is
Not advice.
A partnership.
Coaching gives you space to think out loud, notice patterns, and decide what matters.
Sam brings the questions; you bring the answers.
How it works
Space to think, not a script.
Every conversation starts with your life, not a preset program.
- Listen first, then ask the honest question.
- Use your strengths as the starting point.
- Agree on one practical step you can own.
Coaching is not therapy. If something needs a licensed professional, Sam will say so honestly.
A place to begin
Discover
your strengths.
A short reflection guide to help you notice what comes naturally, recognize your gifts, and think about how to use them with intention.
I use CliftonStrengths as a supporting tool. Coaching is where we work on understanding your strengths and putting them into practice.
Before we talk
A few
fair questions.
You don’t have to have it all figured out. Here’s a little more about what to expect.
No. Sam asks questions and challenges you to follow through, but the decisions and the next steps stay yours.
A big one. Coaching builds on what comes naturally to you, using tools like CliftonStrengths as a supporting guide.
No. Coaching works toward answers you can own. You are welcome exactly as you are.
Coaching focuses on where you are now and the steps you want to take next. It isn’t a replacement for clinical care.

Your next chapter starts here
You don’t have to
see the whole path.
Start with what’s on your mind.
Let’s work out the next step together.
